Eastern Partnership Regional Horizon 2020 Info Day and NCP Workshop – focus: Energy

More than 130 participants from various research organisations, SMEs, Development Agencies, and National Contact Points took part in an Horizon 2020 Info Day and NCP workshop on Proposal Preparation and Management of EU Funded Projects. The events in Yerevan were organised by the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (NAS RA) in cooperation with the INCONTACT 2020, IncoNet EaP and INNOVER-EAST projects.

In addition to a general overview of Horizon 2020 and MSCA, this Info Day provided specific information on the opportunities for Eastern Partnership countries with a special focus on Energy & Environment. The NCP workshop on the following day covered all the aspects on how to write a successful European proposal as well as the technical and financial management of EU funded projects. The EURAXESS and COST actions as well as Enterprise Europe Network services & tools were also introduced.

The events were conducted by invited experts from the 'Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea'  (Italy) , 'Bay Zoltán Nonprofit  Ltd. for Applied Researc'h (Hungary), 'Centre for Research and Technology' (Greece), 'Centre for Regional and International STI Studies and Support' (Greece), 'Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support  of Technical and Scientific Sphere' (Belarus) and others.

More than 130 participants representing various research organisations, SMEs, Development Agencies, NCPs and other stakeholders were present at the events. The events were a true success with quite sophisticated but at the same time very efficient agendas. 18 presentations were held on the two days.

The Info Day and the NCP Workshop took place in line with a series of events held in Yerevan and were followed by INNOVER-EAST's  1st International Policy Conference titled National State of Innovation in the Eastern Partnership Countries in Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency', held on 8 July, 2015. The Conference was attended by 60 participants and also considered a success.
